The slightly worn look of denim is popular nowadays. This can be achieved by the process of bio fading/stone washing of denim jeans. Special cellulose has replaced the traditional stone washing process where the blue denim was faded by the abrasive action of pumice stones on the garment surface.

Benefits of Bio Fading/Bio Stone Washing:

  1. A small dose of enzyme can replace several kilograms of pumice stones.

  2. The use of fewer pumice stones results in less damage to garment, machine and

  3. Less pumice dust generates in the laundry environment.

  4. Ecofriendly process and biodegradable waste

  5. Variety of new finishes available as latest fashion trends.

  6. Increased productivity due to machines contains fewer stones or no stones and more garments.

PacZyme offers a range of cellulases for bio fading/stone washing, each with its own unique properties. These can be used either alone or in combination with pumice stones in order to obtain a specific look.

  1. PAC-FadZyme-A/L (Acid Cellulase Bio Fading Enzyme)

  2. PAC-FadZyme-N/L (Neutral Cellulase Bio Fading Enzyme)

PAC-FadZyme-A/L and PAC-FadZyme-N/L
PAC-FadZyme-A/L and PAC-FadZyme-N/L are the products use for Biofading of Denim as well as Sulfur or other reactive dyed garments in the wash wheel process.

PAC-FadZyme-A/L and PAC-FadZyme-N/L partially digest excess and protruding yarns, loosening them from the fabric. The stone washing effect is obtained by homogenous removal of the indigo dye trapped inside the fibers by the cooperative action of enzymatic hydrolysis and mechanical agitation of the fabric. This improves softness, luster, and drape.

Processing Guidelines

The enzymatic effect depends on the nature of the fabric, type of process, and application parameters. It is advisable to check process parameters like garment load size, liquor ratio, temperature, pH, process time, dosage, and rinsing cycles as per need.

Dosage

The dosage can be optimized on basis of trials only and depends upon the nature of the fabric, type of process, processing conditions, and desired level of performance efficacy. The recommended dosages however are 0.5 – 2 % (owg).

Compatibility

It is recommended to test the compatibility of PAC-FadZyme-A/L and PAC-FadZyme-N/L with ingredients like wetting agents etc. prior to its use and its applications.

Packing

It is available in 25 KG & 50 KG HDPE Drums.

Storage

Cool & dry conditions are recommended. Extended storage or adverse conditions may lead to higher dosage requirements.

Shelf Life

It can be stored in a closed container for up to six months at 25°C.

Safety

Enzyme preparation belongs to protein, which may induce sensitization and or cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Prolonged contact may cause minor irritation for the skin, eyes, or mucous membrane of the nose, so any direct contact with the human body should be avoided. If irritation or allergic response for skin or eyes develops, consult a doctor. MSDS is available on request.
